Fix STOP: 0x0000000A Blue Screen Error Message in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 PC

May 28, 2013
Microsoft has released a hotfix to fix an issue in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
The fix resolves an issue in which the computer crashes with Blue Screen Error (BSOD) after it runs for some time.
Windows also gives an error message such as:
STOP: 0x0000000A (parameter1parameter2parameter3parameter4)

Note that the four parameters in the Stop error message varies depending upon the computer configuration.

Not all the “STOP: 0x0000000A” error messages are caused by this issue.

According to Microsoft KBA979444, the problem occurs because:Power Manager opens an Advanced local procedure call (ALPC) port. However, Power Manager closes another port instead of closing the ALPC port. Every time that a power request is made, a memory leak occurs. When the leaked memory usage accumulates to a certain level, the computer crashes.Click here to download the HotFix
